Review: Hi! I recently visited the Chalmette location as a new patient with Dr. Colburn. I really enjoyed their professionalism, politeness and comforting environmental setting. Dr. Colburn made me feel extremely safe and comfortable; he is also very knowledgeable.He explained everything in detail to me! His assistants Bonnie and Amani were wonderful! Bonnie picked out the perfect color for my filling and is absolutely the best assistant I have ever had!! (Some jab me with the suction!!) They were extremely helpful, kind and caring. (They even gave me a blanket when I was feeling cold!). The setting made me feel so at home, would definitely recommend anyone and everyone to go and see them. Bonus I love my new smile! 10000000/10 ❤️❤️

Review: I brought my son in because his mouth was hurting him, I made an appointment, we made it there 30 minutes before the appointment and still waited a hour. Once seen the doctor barely checked his mouth and said he needed four extractions, set a date for almost three months later and wrote a prescription for antibiotics. I called another dentist when we left and got an appointment for the next day, my son got the one extraction he needed, no antibiotics needed and his pain was gone immediately….

Review: Three years ago I came here with a toothache. I was told my mouth was full of surface layer cavities that could only be seen on X-rays. They grinded down the majority of 6 teeth and rebuilt them with resin leaving them not fitting in my mouth properly. How does a small surface level cavity that is only visible on an X-ray result in removing the majority of my tooth let alone 6?!! Then told me I’d have to pay fully out of pocket for the one tooth I actually came in to get fixed as my insurance was only going to cover the other 6. I couldn’t afford $1500 for a root canal and crown so they opened and cleaned the tooth and I was left with an unstable tooth with hollow roots that has been drifting. Don’t get me started on how I had to come back because they forgot to prescribe me antibiotics and never treated the infection. I was told at my most recent appointment that I didn’t have insurance and the rep said I wasn’t in the system and was asked if I’d still like to pay $75 for an exam and X-rays. I called my insurance company and they confirmed I’m covered. Please don’t go there if you’re on Medicaid they will try to hussle you or turn you away. I guess they thought bc I get government healthcare I had a bunch of spare income but I don’t. I’m a mom and I work and pay taxes like everyone else on top of rent bills and groceries etc. I’m not someone collecting benefits and living off of a hoard of hidden income I can just whip out at the dentist office .It’s so dehumanizing to get treated this way. I don’t care what the reason is it isn’t acceptable. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else even if this place has sooner availability it’s simply not worth it. They will ruin your teeth, neglect to prescribe the necessary medication and try to swindle you.
