Review: Came here because I was told it was black owned. Needless to say the entire staff was white. Neither here nor there so decided to get laser hair removal treatment. One thing I wish is that they do a hidden test sight before covering more areas of the face or body. Treatment went great! Problem terminal hairs fell out. My only problem area was the middle of my under neck. She asked if I wanted to do the entire jaw line and I was like why not. Well let's just say their machine turned my thin baby fine vellus facial hair terminal ‼ its called Paradoxical hypertrichosis. Needless to say, thanks to the machine they use and laser tech not having sense enough to just do a small area, I now have a beard! Laser can not only damage skin, it can turn vellus hair terminal! I wish I would have searched on YouTube where there are others this happened to before trusting an esthetician and trying laser.

Review: Know before you go! 1 star reason: overall terrible experience from inadequate staff at every touchpoint to "botched" treatment. The wait time was absurd no reason why staff didn't notice or say anything as I'm sitting on the couch 15-20-30 minutes in, the provider is rushed it's a turn quickly establishment, she messed up my eye on Botox injection (regardless how many years Tasha claims on experience she needs Allergan rep to re-train her asap), not an Alle member so it's not patient friendly on cost savings, higher cost per unit almost $14, questionable if it's diluted and efficacy of Botox or if she could be using off- brand toxin calling it "Botox" it's not transparent since you don't see the product vials, packaging and she's buying from another source for HER to get the lower price plus not passing on savings to customers via loyalty programs such as Alle - agree with other posts being ethical is questionable here and hopefully gets audited, for OUR safety!Medical Spa of Baton Rouge is NOT an Alle points provider which I found out after my appt, lesson learned ask before booking anywhere, it matters when you're spending hundreds into thousands every couple of months! It's my first time here and my experience: Person on phone didn't know how to book, pretty frustrating after 20 minutes but I wanted to do their monthly special how they got me in, tried to look past it. Day of appt, I went during my 1 HOUR lunch 1:30pm appt, Botox usually takes 15-20 minutes. I was in lobby 40 minutes waiting before taken back, then another 20 minutes in the room waiting on Tasha. Side note: if a customer is over 10 minutes late, a place will cancel and charge you for a missed appointment, how does this make sense or ok for a med spa to do? As waiting on Tasha, the assistant looked new or if she wasn't, then she's not knowledgeable in aesthetics or her job. Tasha came in looked in a rush as if she's quickly going patient to patient, which it turned out she was. She thought it was a consult not a treatment, said I was booked wrong but she'll still do it. OK, so you had me waiting an hour now rushing to fit it in so you can make a quick $700, got it. She looked at my face, said based on how my eyebrows were shaped she can do my forehead, but I'll have to correct it by plucking differently to even it out? Never is that ok! And I don't want to thin out my eyebrows to compensate for her technique or lack thereof. Also criticized past injector and said will 'fix' a small crows feet area, same eye. She rushed through it, not once did I feel comfortable, and I didn't even mention I was in there for both Botox and Juvéderm filler per special I should have been booked for, she rushed through the Botox and I just wanted to finish to leave not let her do lips or Juvéderm filler. At the same time, staff member barges in with ipad to swipe my card to take my payment, while I'm in the chair. NEVER has this happened in over 15 yrs of me going to plastics or med spas for treatments, it felt very bizarre as you're treating it like I'll walk out on my check?. Again, not ok, usually settle at check out and not rushed by admin to get payment quickly as possible in treatment room. Girl at the front as I'm leaving, clueless. Within days, I noticed my left eye felt different as if it's "stuck", and when I looked at my pictures, clearly can tell one eye looks open and other looks smaller. Asked for another opinion in another plastic surgeon's office, she said most likely possible eyelid ptosis, meaning Botox may have migrated into my eyelid muscle and caused it to drop, it will wear off with time or for $300 she can send me Upneeq drops to help it sooner. Needless to say, I didn't go to a follow up, or that I'll even go here again. No matter what response the practice may have to this review to down play, at the end of the day this was an appt gone terribly wrong, no excuse in any of this. You could have a good experience or one like this, but we're paying A LOT for service shouldn't we deserve better each time?

Review: Like many women, I have always struggled with the bulging around my stomach. Even after a lot of dieting, I have been unsuccessfully to lose fat around my abdomen. Skeptical, while visiting my Doctors' office. I noticed several flyers displayed in her office and decided to invite myself to one of them (Tru Sculpting). I read over the flyer and decided to drop in the Medical Spa for more information. There I was welcomed by Sheran made me curious because of her charming personality and knowledge about the services they offered. In summary, I was introduced to ( Ms. Alla) the incredible Esthetician. She's awesome with her technique and explaining the process from start to finish. Finally, I highly recommend(Tru Sculpting) The Tru "conqueror "of Love handlers and "secret" to a slimmer waistline. I am happy to say it really worked for me and looking forward to future treatments at the medical spa.!!!

Review: Do not trust this money hungry establishment. They use some of the most lowdown, unethical & illegal tactics to squeeze money out of patients/consumers. I made the mistake of consulting with Dr. Kenyatta Shamlin for acne treatment 2 weeks ago. She recommended the treatment plan of ZO Exfoliating Cleanser, ZO Salicylic Acid Acne Pads & Rx Tretinoin Gel. She charged me 105.00 for the Rx Tretinoin Gel. I finally received the Rx Tretinoin Gel TODAY and discovered that they actually paid 28.00 to a pharmacy in Lake Charles, LA. I questioned her staff about the price difference & she stated that this their profit mark-up fee. This establishment ordered a Rx using my name & personal identifying info & charge me a profit mark-up fee on a PRESCRIPTION. In addition to the profit mark-up fee I was also charged a state sales tax on the prescription which is illegal. In Louisiana medical prescriptions are exempt from state sales tax. A complaint has been filed with the LA State Board of Medical Examiners, The Attorney General's Office, The LA Department of Revenue & the BBB.

Review: Regarding the Retinol RX It is considered a prescription cosmetic and a lot of insurance companies do not cover cosmetic prescriptions. Hope it helps you out with your skin concerns.
